Our Children are Worth It!
As parents, our children are incredibly important to us and their health and lifestyle should be our number one priority. No doubt you feel the same way so for your peace of mind I wanted to let you know a few things about how we ascertain the condition of your child.
I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Holistic Health Coach. I am not a licensed medical doctor and do not diagnose disease or medical issues and I encourage all clients to continue to see their medical doctors for their health issues, when adding supplements to their normal routine or when changing their diet.
My expertise is in the evaluation of diet and lifestyle and making suggestions toward changes that may help the body toward healing benefits. I look for possible nutritional deficiencies and food intolerance's especially through the amounts of specific foods your child may be consuming on a daily or weekly basis.
Today most food is grown with three nutrients alone. In my profession we call this the NPK (or the "Miracle Grow" growing plan) Nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK) are the key ingredients used to grow most conventional food. These components make the plants “big and beautiful” (appealing to the eye) but also very nutritionally deficient. “Big and beautiful” is what draws a consumer to purchase a product and it appears the food industry unfortunately has more interest in drawing us to purchase than in our nutritional needs.
By eliminating the other 49 necessary components during the growing process, this makes for a non-nutritious plant. Add that to the fact that most of our foods are cooked (microwaved) eliminating the natural digestive enzymes and active natural cultures and this leads to so many digestive issues, especially in our children. Processed foods, preservatives, dyes/colors and additives only add to the problem. And then there is the overabundance of refined sugar and wheat/soy as fillers and we have a nutritional nightmare.
As a Holistic Health Practitioner, I try and help educate parents as to how they should be feeding their children due to these unfortunate changes in our food sources, especially here in North America. Again, I do not diagnose any disease but only make suggestions as to how nutrition may help the body grow and heal as it was intended to.
Consumption of specific foods is not the only scenario that may cause health issues. We also look at exercise (or lack of) and all around lifestyle issues including high stress situations, which may be adding to chemical and/or hormonal imbalance. My suggestions come from these evaluations. If you would like to know more about my education and expertise you can visit the “My Training” section of this website.
